It's almost Christmas!

Well, I guess I haven't posted anything in about forever. I had a great summer that included lots of friends, traveling, and sleeping. I started my senior year at Canyon View High School. I also started taking college straight from the professors with actual college students. It's been pretty crazy. Sometimes it feels really weird to go from college classes back to the high school where everything is different. I was in 3 college classes Math 1210 (Calculus), Personal Finance 2870, and University 1000. I am also in three different choir classes (Madrigals, A Capella, and Colla Voce). I am also in early morning seminary. Pretty much every day gets a bit crazy. :) I am still dancing with Confidance, so that is every Tuesday and Thursday after school. I was in so much stuff that I wasn't doing well in my Finance class. I ended up dropping that class with a W. It helped to take some stress out of my let, let me tell you. Last week was finals week. The week before that I had a Madrigal or dance performance pretty much every day of the week. I had both of my major Christmas concerts that week, with a bunch of smaller performances. I finished my college classes last week, so now I get to enjoy a week of just high school classes. That leaves a big gap between early morning seminary and 4th period. It is going to be great! I still have Madrigal performances all over the place. I am also finding time to hang out with my friends and go on lots of dates! I went on an 8 hour long date with my friend Matt Bray. We made gingerbread cookies, had a delicious dinner, decorated the cookies, and delivered them to people. While we were doing that we decided that we wanted to go caroling. We would ring the bell, hide, then come out after they opened the door. It was awesome! Then we went caroling to different stores and stuff. My favorite was singing at Maggie Moos and Arctic Circle. A guy that was waiting for his ice cream at Maggie Moos came and sang with us. At Arctic Circle we "drove" through the drive through in our pretend car and then caroled to the people at the window. They gave us free ice cream cones. It was awesome! I am enjoying my life and I can't wait to see all of you for Christmas!!!

Summer Fun

Hey All! What a crazy summer this one is turning out to be. I was going to go to Folsom California for the month of June, but it didn't work out. So for the start of summer I stayed home while Carrie, Darren, and then Annie all left me to go on crazy adventures. It was weird to be the only kid at home, but I spent as much time as I could at the Logans house (all the guys are gone so I got to sleep over as much as I wanted to). Last weekend we all went up to the Scott family reunion and Johnny Scott's wedding Open House. We spent at day at the pool and we all got burned (mine is now peeling). While we were there I decided that I still wanted to go to California. I called Mom and worked everything out so that I would drive with Aunt Annette and Uncle Floyd, and then fly home after two weeks. I stayed about a week at Aunt Cheryl's house before driving through the night to get to Folsom (I got to drive the last three hours from Rino to Folsom). What a drive! Now I'm haning in the heat of California with my cousins and I'll be home just in time to go to Girls Camp! I hope everybody is doing well back at home and wherever else everybody is. I love you all!

The End of Another Year

Well hello all. It is now the end of another school year, and you can't imagine how great it is to say that. I am finishing up my 11th grade in school and I will be a senior in high school next year! That is really crazy to think of. Next year is going to be a good one what with early morning seminary, only 3 or 4 college classes instead of 5, a some study hours every day, and two choirs (Madrials!!!!! and A Capella!). Before I can begin to think of next year, I get to enjoy a few months off during summer! I plan to go to California to stay with my cousin Daniel for a few weeks, then coming home to dance, sleep, hang out, and spend time with my parents (they will be the only ones home unless Annie decides to stay home after she gets back from Europe). I can't wait! Because I am in Mads next year I get to sing at Graduation with the old and new Mads. We have had practices for the past few weeks and we are almost prepared for next Thursday (Graduation). My college classes have been finished since the last week in April, but some lame persons made us come every period for ACT "prep". The math class is really only the worthwhile class to go to. I only have one week left of that though, so I jsut have to write an essay about how reading the book helped me, and then I'm done!!! Yay!!! I almost have time for a life! I guess I could say that I almost have time to do nothing because I won't have a life! So I have dance class until Saturday when I have my end of year Recital, and then I am done with everything!!! That's all that's going on. I'll try to update later!

The crazy one,
Emily Jean Robinson

Random Pictures of me.

Finals Week

Hey all. So, this week is probably going to be the busiest one in my life. If you wanted to make plans with me, forget them. It is what some people call "heck week". My friend Madi prefers to call it "Heaven Week" just so that she can psych herself into being positive about it. Well, I have about 5 finals within 2 or 3 days. Yippee. I have Bio-Chemistry, History 1700 (U.S.), Trigonometry, Chem Lab, and CSIS. I was gone for Solo and Ensemble this weekend, so I didn't have time to study. I could be using this precious time to study right now, but I think I will fall asleep if I try. That's what happened in Chem class 1st period. I am also in the CVHS dance concert (really stupid decision). I would have backed out, but I am already taking the place of somebody else. I can't just not do it now. So, I have rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then the performances from Thursday through Saturday. That's another thing, all you people with graduations and such this weekend, sorry, but I can't come. I'll have to see you at some other gathering. So, that is my week for you. I won't resurface into the social world until...actually, next week is pretty crazy to. I guess you'll just have watch and find out when I can live again. Love you all!

Web 2.0 - What does it really mean?

Take a look at this awesome video!

It is a video how text and technology has changed. It is really interesting how it shows what we can do with computers and all that we could not do with just a paper and pencil. It is kind of crazy how much data is on computers and on the web. The video says that we are teaching the machine every time we click on a web page or link. It is an interesting thought that we are the ones to teach the machines.
